Hi Davod,
Thanks for posting back and letting us know you can successfully uploading files and folders from OneDrive online.
Next time if you get issue when uploading files/folders to the local OneDrive sync folder on your Mac, we suggest you firstly make sure the affected files/folders don’t have invalid characters ' * : < > ? / |, invalid file or folder names .lock, CON, PRN, AUX, NUL, COM1 - COM9, LPT1 - LPT9, _vti_, desktop.ini and other restrictions which are mentioned in the article as Qing shared before.
Get OneDrive for PC or Mac. The easiest way to get started is to drag and drop files into OneDrive. After you install the app, find the OneDrive folder on your PC or Mac. Or visit OneDrive.com and drag files into the browser window. From your phone or tablet. Use selective sync on a Mac. In Windows 8,1 OneDrive doesn't include a selective sync feature any more because it's baked right into Microsoft's all-encompassing operating system, but it's still.
And we also suggest you try following:
1.Install the latest version of OneDrive sync client.
2.Exist OneDrive, try resetting OneDrive with the steps below:
1)Find OneDrive in your Applications folder
2)Right-click and select “Show packaged contents”
3)Navigate into the Contents/Resources folder
4)Double tap on ResetOneDriveApp.command or ResetOneDriveStandaloneApp.command
5)Start OneDrive and finish the setup process.
When issue persists, please feel free to post back and we will continue helping you.
Best Regards,
Tina
Hello;
I've been using OneDrive on my Mac for the past 2-3 years without any major issues and it is vital for my job. Ever since last Friday it started to constantly crash and therefore unable to sync. I haven't downloaded anything major to my computer that would mess with OneDrive nor have I done any major changes. Ever since I've done the following to solve;
1) Reset, multiple times.
Onedrive Mac Manual Download
2) Uninstall, install again from Microsoft's own site. (can't even login anymore, crashes that quickly)
3) Uninstall, delete every offline OneDrive related folder, clear trash and install again from Mac App Store. (still can't even login)
Then I stumbled upon this thread;
Onedrive Mac Install
Safe mode start up, issue is still there.
Download Onedrive For Business Mac
Deleted the keychain access files, did a manual reset to one drive. (as per thread's reply) Still no solution.
One Drive is really important for our work and this is becoming frustrating. Please help I need OneDrive to run on my computer.
