Mac-ts4 Manual Download
- Can you check your version of the game at least? Go to the main menu of TS4. It's at the bottom left. If you have the current one, it should be:
1.10.57.1020 (Windows), 1.10.57.1220 (Mac).
If it is, then I think it should be alright.
If that's not your game version, can you exit the game and exit Origin (from your taskbar at the bottom left of your desktop) and then open Origin again (while connected to the internet) and right-click on your TS4 box art. It should have the game update button.0 - Hello.
On the bottom left hand side of the launcher, there should be a section that has the label ' game updates'.
It where the exclamation mark is in this picture.

Umm...Why TS4? It's on The Sims 3...Also, I don't play through Origin, I play/bought it through Steam... - > @rosemow said:

I play on Steam, and I think that's actually the problem...I don't think Steam has this 'Update Game' Button or whatever...Why not?? That's really unfair to people who bought it from Steam/Play it through Steam...How can I update it? If I can't i'm gonna be really mad.. - By double clicking on the Sims 3 icon on your desktop, that may launch the launcher. Then you can update your game.

Oh, my bad. I didn't know you were talking about The Sims 3.
Did you check what rosemow posted? The update button should be from the game's launcher itself, not Steam.0 - > @rosemow said:

My launcher has no 'Game Updates' button though... either that or i'm blind as hell .-. - edited August 2015I believe that the SuperPatcher will work for Steam users as it does for every one else who experiences Launcher patch update failures.

Note: if the SuperPatcher says you are already up to date, make it run anyway.

Our new site is at http://nraas.net - Hi,
The manual game update is designed specifically for TS3 DVD disc version or EADM/Origin digital download version only. The Steam version of TS3 is not supported unfortunately.
Game updates for TS3 on Steam are handled through the Steam client itself. By default Steam should automatically update the game for you. If you have not done so already, completely quit out of the Steam application program and then relaunch it again.
If you are still getting the error message after having done all that, there may be something else with the particular Exchange content that is triggering the message. When you need help with The Sims 3 or The Sims 4, be sure to check out the Master Help Thread today! - Ah sorry, I had no idea that Steam clients weren't supposed to use the SuperPatcher. In all the years (well, it feels like years anyway) I've recommended it, not one player has returned to say it doesn't work or somehow made things worse. But if Steam has its own update mechanism, obviously that's the way to go.

Our new site is at http://nraas.net - Ok, so I downloaded Sims 3 on Origin and the 'Game Updates' Tab appeared. I guess it was something to do with Steam?
- Right, if you purchase through Steam you do have the rights to register your games and switch everything over to Origin. Which does function differently. But that means all your EPs/SPs, if you have any, will need to be installed from Origin as well.

Yeah, I know. I registered both my games (I only have Sims 3 and Sims 3 Pets) on Origin and installed them. The 'Game Updates' Tab appeared and my game updated, and now it doesn't seem to have any problems running :D and it can run the Items that originally caused the problem from the Exchange on my game with no troubles :) - Glad that Origin helped you get that sorted out. And I learned something new here about Steam installs.

Links to an image such as the one you tried to provide only work on your own computer. You can't embed an image on a message board quite that way.
Are you on a Steam, Origin, or retail disc install, are you on Windows or Mac, and what is your current patch level?
